Our Sports-Focused Theme

CTE Electives in Media, Kinesiology & Sports Management

These courses provide students with the opportunity to develop career-ready skills while earning credits that count toward graduation. They align with TEA’s Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathways under Health Science and Marketing/Business. They also align with our dual credit pathways.

Dual Credit & Specialized Pathways​

Beginning as early as 10th grade, students can also access core college courses as well as courses in Media/Journalism, Kinesiology, and Sports Management, allowing them to graduate with both a high school diploma and up to 60 credits to transfer towards a Degree.

Media & Journalism

Allows students to develop their voice, creativity, and technical skills while becoming the storytellers of our school community. Students in this pathway go beyond the classroom—producing live broadcasts, writing news articles, designing digital content, and covering the real events and people that shape our school.

Kinesiology

  • Tailored for students interested in health, fitness, sports science, and physical education.​

  • Courses focus on human movement, wellness, and preparation for careers in healthcare, exercise science, athletic training, and coaching.​

Sports Management

  • Ideal for students interested in the business side of sports.​

  • Courses cover leadership, sports marketing, event planning, and management, preparing students for careers in athletics administration, recreation, and sports organizations.
